It is proven that alcohol shortens your life span dramatically. Alcohol also shrinks your brain, decreasing your IQ. Not only does alcohol increase the chances of dangerous diseases but it can also lead to consuming other drugs. Young people who drink alcohol are 50 times more likely to use cocaine than teens who never drink. Alcohol causes deaths and injuries.

Alcohol is drug that works directly on the central nervous system. Alcohol kills more male teenagers and young men than any other drug taken to affect mood and behaviour. Many deaths and injury happens under the influence of alcohol. Men and women engage in more risky behaviours, which could result to fight, reckless driving and accidents. Alcohol use is a leading risk factor for the three leading causes of death among youth: unintentional injuries, suicides; and homicides. Alcohol also puts you at greater risk from sexual behaviour where you find you have more than you had planned on- a sexually transmitted disease or an unwanted pregnancy.
